The inspiration for the people working in Sai Anna Laxmi Foundation for all that it wants to do stems from the wise words and phenomenally great deeds of the most revered Guru and mentor Sri. Satya Sai Baba.
“The gift of food to the hungry is the noblest of all gifts”

The Chief Mentor & Guru for SALF and its activities
SALF is conscious that there are capable and committed individuals who are trying to contribute their mite to break the vicious cycle of neglecting and evading the less fortunate & the poor - that of wasted childhood, illiteracy, ill health, and hungry stomachs leading to a bleak future that breeds vices and eventually self-destruction.
There are many of these committed individuals who are striving to provide solace to them but are unable to systematically support and create any impact. SALF galvanises these spirits to foster these young minds in schools to realise their potential. SALF keeps a score of the impact of its programs with professional competence.
When we identify these partner schools that we choose to work with, we look for capable people who have eminently demonstrated their - skill and the will - to lift these poor children from poverty and more importantly keep them away from child labour. A nutritious mid-day meal acts as a catalyst. SALF helps them to set up their own kitchen or if there is an existing kitchen, we then help enhance its utility. SALF helps them to prepare the meal plans, all the processes for food safety and the requisite financial support to run the free lunch programs. We also encourage these schools to develop kitchen gardens so that fresh and pesticide free vegetables are available to the children.
The partners we have chosen to work include professionals like accomplished Doctors, Engineers (IITians), Economists (Delhi School of Economics), other competent and committed social workers and excellent government schoolteachers.
