- WHO WE ARE -
As early as 2003, the first few steps were taken to provide nutritious noon meals to street children. This initiative was at a personal level with two individuals – V.V. Ranganathan and Ganesh Raj both regularly visiting the slums in and around Noida (National Capital Region of Delhi). What they saw were small children behaving like adults – mostly rag pickers – who were not going to school and very malnourished. That was the beginning of an attempt at transformation. The noon meals slowly scaled to cover a school nearby where marginalised children were attending mostly with hungry stomachs. We continued to work with a few more schools in Noida and thus began a concerted effort at fighting avoidable hunger of these children
